Magician Ross Renaud returns to the Junior Explorer's Club on June 8!

for children 12 and younger

For our final Junior Explorer’s Club meeting of this school year we are pleased to welcome back Magician Ross Renaud!

Magic is sometimes described as the art of illusion or the process of making something appear to be happening that actually isn’t.  This is usually a visual process, but Magician Ross has found creative ways to make magic accessible to children who are blind.

Come join the Junior Explorers on Saturday for a morning of magic and mystery! Learn some dazzling new tricks to amaze and impress your friends and family throughout the summer. Not only will we learn the tricks, but we will also have an opportunity to work on our presentation skills. Prepare to be mesmerized!

Please join us on Saturday June 8th from 10:00 am to noon at the New Westminster Secondary School, 835 8th St. New Westminster.

Please enter the school through the doors across the parking lot from the ice arena.  The parking lot is accessed from 8th Ave.

If you plan to attend please register here:

New Junior Explorer members are always welcome!

All children must be members of Blind Beginnings.  You can become a member at www.blindbeginnings.ca or at the next Junior Explorer's Club meeting.

The Junior Explorer's Club invites children who are blind or visually impaired and their sighted siblings to meet one Saturday a month. The purpose of the club is to introduce children to a variety of recreational and artistic activities, teach basic skills related to physical activity, foster the development of friendships, and have fun! The unique learning and developmental needs of blind children are addressed to help them develop cognitive, social, creative and coordination skills through sports activities, creative arts, music and other recreation activities.

Activities will be developed for children 5 to 12 years of age. Children who are younger than 5 or older than 12 who would enjoy activities for this age group are welcome.

Blind Beginnings would like to thank Westminster Savings for their financial support of this program and the New Westminster School Board for the use of a gym for Club meetings.

We look forward to seeing you on June 8th!
