Calling all Blind Beginnings children, youth and families past and present!
Did you know that 2018 is our 10th anniversary?
To celebrate this milestone we want to make an art piece with contributions from as many of you as possible.
Local Potter, Ninna Snider will partner with Blind Beginnings for a collaborative art instillation to commemorate our 10 year anniversary. Please join us on June 10th for a wonderful afternoon of making clay pieces for a totem that will be installed in the Blind Beginnings building for years to come (and one day, outside of our future Blind Beginnings house)!
Join us for this interactive tactile clay project that your whole family can participate in. We will be cutting out clay pieces and attaching them together, then later adding bright colors of paint.
We’ve got space booked, clay purchased, and volunteers lined up to create these clay pieces on Sunday June 10 at the Burnaby Neighbourhood House in North Burnaby. It shouldn’t take more than half an hour to make each piece, so if you are able to come by between 1:30 and 4:30 pm, to create your clay contribution we would really appreciate it.
When: Sunday, June 10 between 1:30 and 4:30pm
Where: North Burnaby Neighbourhood House – 4463 Hastings St. Burnaby
Who: Blind Beginnings members past and present. New members are always welcome. The more the merrier! (Art project suitable for all ages).
Why: To create an art piece to commemorate Blind Beginnings’ 10th Anniversary!
**Please note: We are hoping you will also be available to come together again on Sunday June 24 for a pot-luck meal, to paint our pieces, assemble the final project, and take a group photo with the project.
Please RSVP to Lisa at firstname.lastname@example.org with the names of your family members who will be coming (to ensure there is enough clay for everybody).
We’re looking forward to having lots of people out on Sunday June 10!
