Call for Butterflies!
Festival of Trees – West Coast Christmas Show
November 17-19, 2017
For the first time this year, Blind Beginnings is taking part in the annual Festival of Trees at the West Coast Christmas Show November 17-19 at Tradex in Abbotsford.
As part of this Christmas Tree Decorating Contest for charitable organizations, we will decorate the Blind Beginnings Tree completely in butterflies. We need your help! We are looking for donations of butterflies of any kind to decorate our tree. Butterflies can be store-bought or handmade, new or used, wooden or felt, glittery or matte. Butterflies come in all shapes and sizes, and we will take anything you’re willing to donate!
Donations can be brought to the Blind Beginnings office (227 6th Street, New Westminster) any time before Monday, November 13th – please call (604) 434-7243 or email firstname.lastname@example.org in advance to arrange a time. Butterfly donations can also be brought to our Indigo-Chapter’s Christmas Shopping Event on November 3rd, or to our Do The Grind Blind documentary screening on November 12th.
Following the Festival of Trees, all decorated trees will be judged and the winning organization will receive $500. The second place tree will receive $300 and all participating organizations will increase their community exposure through the expected attendance of 18,000 visitors over the weekend.
Thanks for your help to bring our Blind Beginnings tree to life!
