Come and Try Blind Tennis

Come and try blind tennis!

Yes, you read that correctly. Tennis is another popular sport that has been adapted so that people who are blind or partially sighted can play.  The ball makes noise and is soft, so if it hits you it doesn’t hurt. Also, it bounces before you hit it back, making it much easier for someone with limited vision to track it.  Most of all, its fun!

For 6 consecutive Thursdays, Blind Beginnings families are invited to come and try tennis!

Where: Pinetree Community Centre (1260 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam)
When: Thursdays June 20, 27, July 4, 11, 18, and 25
Time: 4:15 – 5:30 PM
Who: Children and youth who are blind or partially sighted (Parents and siblings are welcome to come as well).
Cost: There is no cost for Blind Beginnings members.

To register for any of the six Thursday sessions, please email Lisa at: lisa@blindbeginnings.ca and include your child’s name and age.

Note: You do not need to commit to all 6 sessions. We will send a weekly email reminder to those who express an interest asking you to register for that particular week. Space and equipment are limited, so if you already know you want to come to all, or most of the sessions please let us know that when you register.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at: 604-434-7243.

Let’s get together and play some tennis!
