Community Discovery to Lynn Canyon Park and Suspension Bridge

Blind Beginnings is pleased to announce our September Community Discovery outing to Lynn Canyon Park and Suspension Bridge!

What: We will start off with a guided hike of Lynn Canyon Park and Suspension Bridge. We will then explore the Lynn Canyon Ecological Centre, where we will have an opportunity to have a guided touch lab experience including animal furs, skulls, sound recordings and much more! We will wrap-up the day with a picnic in the park.

 When: Saturday September 28th 2019

Time: 10:00am

Where: 3690 Park Rd, North Vancouver, BC V7J 1Z1

*We will meet as a group just outside the Lynn Canyon Café between 10:00 and 10:15. If you would like to meet up with a group traveling on transit, please let us know*

Parking: free parking is available along Park Road as you enter the park and we have some reserved parking for our families in the Staff Parking behind the Lynn Canyon Cafe. It is labelled ‘Staff Parking’. Take a right when you enter the general parking area and you should see a sign for ‘Staff Parking’.

 Who: Children and youth who are blind or partially sighted and their parents and siblings

Cost: None. Please bring a bag lunch or money to buy lunch at the Lynn Canyon Café. Here is a link to the café menu for your reference:

Please be sure to bring a water bottle, hat and appropriate clothing and hiking boots for the weather.
