Community Discovery Outings are Coming to the Okanagan!

The first one of 2019 will be on Saturday, February 23rd. We will be going 5-pin bowling! There will be some options for modifications such as using a bar to get a straight shot, and a ball-ramp for anyone who needs it. Come out for some good times at the lanes and an opportunity to connect with other families.

When: Saturday February 23, 2019
Time: 1:00 – 3:00 pm (please arrive by 12:45 to get your shoes and get them on your feet! Bowling shoes provided.)
Where: Capri Bowling Lanes (Capri Center Mall – Lower Level @ Hwy 97 & Gordon Drive. Address: 1835 Gordon Drive, Kelowna, BC).
*Please Note: Elevator and wheelchair ramps available. Free parking on site.
Who: Open to all Blind Beginnings members. This event is free of charge for any current members. To become a member, or to check on the status of your membership, please visit our website: www.blindbeginnings.ca or email Lisa at lisa@blindbeginnings.ca.

This Community Discovery outing is organized and lead by Jessica Rideout, a Blind Beginnings youth leader who lives in Kelowna. Jessica will be there to bowl with you, organize the logistics, and possibly provide some snacks!

To RSVP, please email Lisa at lisa@blindbeginnings.ca and include how many members of your family will be joining you and the best phone number to get a hold of you, if needed. The deadline to RSVP is February 20th.

We are looking forward to hosting regular Community Discovery events in the Okanagan throughout 2019. If you have any brilliant ideas for places you’d like to go or things you’d like to do, we are open to suggestions.

Looking forward to seeing your family at the lanes!
