Blind Beginnings is pleased to announce our December Community Discovery outing to Bad Hats Theatre’s Peter Pan play with audio-description!
What: Come join us for an afternoon to Neverland with pirates, lost boys, a ticking crocodile and a child who never wants to grow up. With live folk music, this imaginative adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s classic story is a rollicking good time. Headsets for audio-description will be provided by VocalEye. After the show there will also be a touch tour on stage with our favourite characters!
When: Saturday December 7, 2019
Where: Waterfront Theatre, 1412 Cartwright Street (beside the Kids Market on Granville Island)
We will be meeting as a group at 2:30pm outside the Theatre to distribute tickets and audio-description headsets from the theatre. Carrie and/or Shawn will be there to meet you. If you would like to meet with a group travelling on transit, please let us know. *Be sure to leave plenty of extra time to find parking if you’re driving to Granville Island. Alternatively, consider taking public transit (bus 50 stops on the island).
Who: Children and youth who are blind or partially sighted and one accompanying parent or sibling
*We have reserved a block of tickets, so we are offering 2 tickets per family to start. If more members of your family would like to attend, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
If you would like to attend, please confirm your attendance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday November 29. *We have a limited number of tickets, and they will be issued on a first come first serve basis.
