Blind Beginnings is pleased to announce our February Community Discovery outing to the Vancouver Public Library!
What: Come join us on February 29 for an interactive workshop led by the Vancouver Public Library. Families will have an opportunity to learn about the resources available at library such as described video, audio-books, accessible service’s card and much more. The children’s library staff will also be leading a “Scary Stories around the campfire” program with a hands-on tactile game. We will end the workshop with a tour of the Inspiration Lab, where participants will have an opportunity to do an audio-recording!
When: Saturday February 29
Where: Central Library, 350 West Georgia Street Vancouver, BC V6B 6B
*There is parking in the library building, as well as street parking around the building. We will be meeting at 1:45pm at the lobby, which is just inside the entrance to the library. Carrie and/or Shawn will be there to meet you. If you would like to meet with a group travelling on transit, please let us know.
Who: Children and youth who are blind or partially sighted and their families
If you would like to attend, please confirm your attendance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Monday February 24. *Please let us know how many people will be attending and the names and ages of your children.
