Your donation changes lives.
This was a big year for Molly and Bridget, who have been good friends for a few years now. In early July of this year, the two girls took part in a three-day Creating Confidence Workshop where they got to practice basic budgeting, making independent purchases for a personal hygiene product, and practice social etiquette when eating out.
Just over a week later, Molly and Bridget went off to Camp Hornby without their families for the first time!
The girls got to further practice being independent with keeping their suitcases organized, getting dressed independently every morning, and locating the correct bunk bed in the cabin.
Through these activities, Molly and Bridget gained confidence that continues to grow every day! In the photo, left they wait at a bus stop with friends.
Molly and Bridget’s lives have been forever changed by their friendship and the confidence they have gained from participating in Blind Beginnings programs.
Your donations made that happen—please continue to ensure that Limitless Potential Is All We See is a reality for all children and youth in BC who are blind or partially sighted.
All donations to Blind Beginnings go directly to providing programs and services for children and youth just like Molly and Bridget.
