Blind Beginnings Calendar
– Youth who are blind or partially sighted between the ages of 14 and 18 are invited to participate in our Virtual Seeing Things Differently Youth Support Group You are blind or partially sighted, and that means that in many ways, your day-to-day experience differs from that of a fully sighted person. On top of the typical stresses of being a teenager, you have the added challenge of learning to do things differently in an often inaccessible world. Likely in your day to day life, you are not surrounded by other people who are blind or partially sighted, and as a result you are the only one doing things in a different way at school, at work, or in your family. By joining us for the Seeing Things Differently Youth Support Group, you will have the opportunity to connect with other youth who are blind or partially sighted in a safe and comfortable place, to share concerns that are likely less common amongst your sighted friends.
