This program is for BC youth who are blind or partially sighted 13 – 19 years

The Creating Confidence Program was launched in 2009 to help children and youth who are blind or partially sighted build self-confidence, self-acceptance and independence. Over a series of workshop sessions, both in person and online and in the community, children of all ages learn to develop skills and confidence.

Our July Creating Confidence workshop will focus on Advocacy:

•  What is advocacy?
• Why might we need to advocate for ourselves
• How would we use advocacy to try different social and recreational activities?
• How do we advocate for ourselves at school or in the workplace?
• How do we advocate for ourselves in the home or with our family and friends?

Youth are invited to join us on July 15 and share their experiences of advocating for themselves or others.
