June Workshop - Blind Mannerisms: What are they and how should I respond to them?
If you have noticed your blind child developing habits of pressing their eyes, twirling, rocking, hand flapping, etc, you are invited to join us on Thursday June 15 to learn what blind mannerisms are, why blind children exhibit these behaviours, and some suggestions for how parents can respond. Our Family Programs Coordinator Bruce Taylor will provide some preliminary information at this workshop, but Part 2 will take place later that week at Early Beginnings on June 17.
Note: As always, there will also be time to socialize with each other following the facilitated discussion
If you would like to attend this workshop, please register by Emailing Shawn Marsolais at: shawn@blindbeginnings.ca.
