Family Ice Skating Event

On December 7, join Blind Beginnings for a family skate!

From 5:45 – 6:45pm, we have a sheet of ice just for Blind Beginnings families. Whether you’ve never put on a pair of skates or you’re a speed-skating superstar; everyone is welcome to join! Skates, helmets, and ice sleds will be available for loan.

When: Friday, December 7, 2018 : ice time from 5:45 – 6:45pm (please show up early to allow time to get skates)

Where: Burnaby 8 Rinks : Rink 5 (6501 Sprott St, Burnaby, BC)

Who: Open to all Blind Beginnings families : all ages/abilities welcome!

Skate and helmet rentals are available. Helmets are mandatory for anyone aged 12 and under. Skate bars will be available to those who would like them. We also have access to some sledge hockey sleds — please let us know if you’d like to reserve one.

No hockey pucks or sticks will be permitted on the ice.

After we skate, we will hang out and enjoy some hot chocolate upstairs in the ice viewing area.

*Please note: You must be a member of Blind Beginnings to attend this event. You can become a member or renew your annual membership on our website at www.blindbeginnings.ca. Membership is $10 for an individual, $15 for a professional, and $25 for a family.
