Join Us For an EXPLOSIVE Time on Saturday November 20th!

Come join us for our very special Community Discovery for November!

We are discovering a new accessible art exhibit at the Grunt Gallery in Vancouver on Saturday November 20th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM PST!

This accessible exhibition about pyrotechnical arts is called “Project Fire Flower” and provides visitors with a perspective on fireworks which can be seen through touch, hearing, and vision. This is an area of interest for Colin van Uchelen, the creator of this project, as a person who appreciates the pyrotechnical arts despite his own vision loss. The exhibition invites visitors to take a closer look at this art form using their visual and/or non-visual senses. The displays are designed to enable viewers to “see” the transient structures of light created by the moving stars of fireworks as if frozen in time. Project Fire Flower explores how visual art can be translated into non-visual forms.

Join us for a special edition of this exhibition on Saturday, November 20th from 4-6 pm. We will have an hour to explore the exhibit and an hour to ask Colin some questions!

The exhibition is taking place at the Grunt Gallery at 116-350 E 2nd Ave, Vancouver.
