Next Online Parent Group: Meet Working Blind Adults

Most parents who are raising a child who is blind or partially sighted worry about whether or not their child will some day have a job.  There is a high unemployment rate for persons who are blind after all, so this is a valid concern.  Thankfully lots of us do have jobs, and on Wednesday February 6 we are going to share how we chose our current job, or how it chose us; what qualities attributed to our success in our job; and what our parents did, or what we wish they had done to support us in the pursuit of our career.

Join us at 7:30 PM, and meet Charmaine, a lawyer, Jessica, an Apple Store employee, Grant, a TV reporter, and Shawn an Executive Director.  Each will share about their employment journeys, and following their presentations parents will have an opportunity to ask questions.

When: Wednesday February 6

Time: 7:30 – 9:00 PM

Where: From your computer or phone

How: Using Zoom – it’s free and really simple to use.  When you click on the link we send you, it will download the app you need.
