Let’s be real, being a teen isn’t always easy.
And when you’re blind or have partial sight, things like fitting in, finding your style, or knowing how you come across to others can feel even harder. That’s why Blind Beginnings is bringing back Creating Confidence in the format of a 3-day summer workshop just for teens.
Participants will stay overnight at a hotel, hang out with new friends who get it, and take part in fun, hands-on activities designed to boost your confidence in everyday life.
What’s in store?
Honest conversations about body language and how you're perceived
Tips for handling awkward questions about your vision
A personal style consult (yes, like a mini makeover!)
A shopping trip to find clothes that feel so you!
Real-world practice asking for what you need in stores & restaurants
Route planning and using buses & SkyTrain
Late-night chats, laughs, and memories that last
