We are thrilled to be offering an Early Intervention Family Retreat from March 22 - 24, 2024, hosted at the Alexandra Retreat & Events Centre in Surrey, BC! 

This Early Intervention Retreat is open to families with children five years or younger who live in Metro Vancouver or the Fraser Valley. Come and enjoy this opportunity to connect with other families while learning from blindness professionals to gain strategies to support your child to thrive.

You DEFINITELY won't want to miss out our annual Trivia Night fundraiser this year, taking place on the evening of Saturday February 24th, 2024 at the River’s Reach Pub (320 6th Street) in New Westminster!

Tickets are $35 each and proceeds will go towards ensuring that we are able to fund Camp Hornby this July!

October is Blindness Awareness Month, established in order to help spread awareness about the lived experience and realities of blindness or partial sight.

To help celebrate the month, we have hand-picked a collection of Limitless Podcast episodes and Limitless Blog posts that contain not only great learning, but also the lived experiences of many of our youth and members of the blind and partially sighted community.

We have been hard at work for the past few months working on a refresh and update to the Blind Beginnings website. The planning stages started last year with technical consultations with our SVP Vancouver partners and engagement with a website developer and IT consultant (big thanks to Goodwin Creative Web Design and LMT Solutions).

Blind Beginnings has been steadily growing our programs and services over the past few years and with in-person programming once again beginning to take place, we are excited to announce the following staff additions and changes to the Blind Beginnings Team.
